The views mentioned above best describe the prestigious Khiara Family, who started their stainless steel kitchenware business in 1955 at Dubai.

During the partition, Late Mr.Naraindas Khiara left Pakistan to settle in India, however his journey did not end there. He moved on to Dubai in 1951, where he took up a clerical job at Dubai Ports & Customs. During that period, Mr.Naraindas Khiara came across a Dubai National who advised him on how there was far more scope in being an entrepreneur. He was conveyed market surveys that helped determine what products had a huge demand, since these are items of daily use.

Finally, in 1955 he started the first ever stainless steel kitchenware outlet in Dubai by the Name of KHIARA STORES. He imported stainless steel products from India and sold them in the Market. At the time Plates, Glasses, Spoons, Bowls and other daily use products were of huge demand. Within few years the business had established well, Mr.Naraindas Khiara started importing quality stainless steel products from well-known manufacturers like Lalit and Sharda from India.

Mr.Naraindas Khiara has four Sons. Subash (47), Ramesh (44), Dilip (43), Dinesh (41). All of whom studied in India but would come down to Dubai during their vacation in order to lend a helping hand to their father.

In 1978, with the help of his sons, Mr.Naraindas Khiara expanded his stainless steel business further by opening a wholesale store. By then Mr.Khiara’s business was well established with an extremely commendable reputation in the Stainless steel market not only in Dubai but India too.

The opening of a Wholesale outlet, created channels where KHIARA’S products could be sold to different parts of the Middle east like Bahrain, Iran, Oman, Qatar and other G.C.C Countries. These Indian Products, which included stainless steel glasses, sugar pots etc. came into massive demand in the Middle East Market.
Mr.Naraindas Khiara then started importing stainless steel products from other parts of Asia like China, Hong Kong, Thailand and Taiwan.

By the early 1980’s Mr.Naraindas Khiara’s sons had involved themselves full fledged into the business. With the guidance and wisdom of their father they managed to further develop and cultivate their family business.

In 1981, Khiara store was the first to open a stall to exhibit the stainless steel utensils in the International Exhibition at airport free zone. It was the first and only Kitchenware products stall in which people took great interest. They were also the first to supply the stainless steel kitchenware products in the fast developing supermarkets and departmental stores in difference parts of UAE like Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras al Khaimah and Fujairah.

As time passed Khiara Group of companies grew and soon included three business ventures namely, Khiara Stores, Khiara Traders and Khiara Household Co.having business relations with some of the reputed exporters of India such as Kishco Cutlery, Marlex, Kitchen King and many others of that time.

In 1982-83 they started selling a wide range of pressure cookers in Dubai and also provided the service of repairing pressure cookers and mixers, when at that time there were no such workshops that provided this sort of facility.

Khiara Group of Companies then moved onto selling its products to more than 50 different groups of supermarkets and departmental stores.

In 1992, Mr.Naraindas Khiara passed away, leaving his four sons and grandson Mr.Sanjay Subash Khiara to organize and further expand the family Stainless Steel business to greater heights.

Sanjay (24) has done B.B.A from USA in 2004 and supports the family business. His Vibrant personality and flare of business has added to their success, which is much needed in today’s cut throat and competitive market, Needless to say the desire to prosper and succeed runs in the Khiara Family. What adds to their name is their honesty and modesty when doing business, qualities which are rare to find in this time and day.

Khiara then expanded its clientele in the Hotel and Catering Division and not to mention also to the fast developing construction companies of Dubai, by supplying to their labor camps which uses most of the stainless steel products in the Kitchen.
By 1993, Mr.Dinesh Khiara, who handled the re-export division, also started exporting their products to the other parts of the world like Africa, Nepal, Europe, Russia and other fast developing countries.

Khiara has not only developed themselves in the Stainless Steel Department but also caters to the festive season items of Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Ganesh Chaturti, Holi and Dhanteras.

As told by Mr.Subash and Mr.Dilip, on the occasion of the Festival of Diwali People queue up in order to be able to enter the shop and commence their Diwali Celebration by shopping for Items at Khiara Stores retail branch in Dubai.

Now Khiara Group of Companies Stainless Steel Business has increased up to almost 10 million and is increasing continuously. Khiara is now a well established and a highly reputed company in the Steel Kitchenware Business in Dubai which continues to progress by providing top quality products and service.
